How To Encrypt Your Files Before Posting To SkyDrive

If articles like this one get you a little concerned about whether what you’re posting to SkyDrive is “acceptable” or not, you can simply put your files into 7-Zip archives, put a password in front of the archive and encrypt it to safeguard your stuff.

Note: This is not an invitation for people to post obviously-bad things to SkyDrive. However given how vague Microsoft’s documentation is on what is and isn’t acceptable for what you put there, better safe than sorry.
