As time goes on, the internet isn’t necessarily getting larger, but there are more people connected to it and that number will continue to grow exponentially. This means that it’s going to be tougher as times goes on to get a short, easy-to-remember username.
A solution to this issue is to do what the pre-internet BBS guys and gals did back in the day and use what’s now known as “netspeak” (a.k.a. “leet-speak”) to get the username you want and still keep it short.
For example, tree could be tr33, bike as b1k3, road as r0ad, and so on.
The video below shows how you can easily create a new username using morewords.com and “translating” those shorter words into netspeak so you can get the name you want.
