hello, I use VPN, but the problem i have with that is, it disconnects many times and it is so disturbing for the work; is there some solution for this? Also the speed is slower compared to direct acess. If somebody can help with this, it will be great help for new user for remote server...thnk!!!!

I have been looking for an easy to use program just for this purpose. I've used LogMeIn and I've liked it. A friend of mine also recommended Crossloop. I just installed in a couple of minutes. I'll be testing it out very soon. It looks promising so far. Thanks for the tip.

Crossloop is by far the easiest. It is a simple program to install, very small, secure, and free. www.crossloop.com I love this software. And I don't have to try to teach my aunt's and uncles how to open ports on a router.

Also check out the ultraVNC distro of VNC over at http://www.uvnc.com/ . Not only is it my favorite version of VNC, they also offer a new program called PCHelpware that requires no configuration on the router/computer of the people you are helping, just one listening port on your computer.

David,

I'm breathing a sigh of relief here because I spend a huge amount of time on this kind of crap with my mom and I - I think Logmein sounds like just what I need.

Thanks!
