It may be an idea to demonstrate this process using a PC running XP or Vista, just for the sake of clarity for the technically non-savvy: Although the process is extremely similar with Windows as you stated; there are one or two minor discrepancies which I feel a technically-illiterate or semi-literate Windows user who hasn’t a clue about a Mac may have difficulty resolving from the OSX GUI to the Windows GUI.
My personal experience of installing WordPress was using the instructions provided in text by WordPress.org (Which aren’t exactly all that clear in places despite their best efforts.) before I’d even discovered that this video tutorial existed.
The learning curve using that method was steep but, to give myself a pat on the back, genius prevailed.
Having done so using a PC running Windows XP I do notice a few tiny inconsistencies that a PC newbie may get confused over.
No negative criticism intended; but I thought it an idea to mention that.
