Some of you may have upgraded to Firefox 4, then said:
"The fonts look like sh*t!"
The reason they look that way is because of the new hardware acceleration feature. Here’s how to get your fonts back to looking normal:
1. Firefox > Options > Options

2. Advanced (top) > General (tab) > Use hardware acceleration when available (UNcheck)

3. Close all Firefox tabs/windows and restart browser. Reboot not required.

I closed Firefox, went to ‘Control Panel > Fonts’ removed all ‘Lucida Grande’ fonts – redownloaded them from http://font.pendownload.com/2009/10/lucida-grande-facebook-font/ and installed ONLY the ‘True-Type’ NOT ‘Type 1′ fonts then opened Firefox and all was good!
I am sure you could just find and remove the ‘Lucida Grande Type 1′ fonts, but I wanted to be sure
