Capturing what is happening on your computer\’s screen is actually very easy with Windows. I am not really sure how to get it done under Linux, but with Windows I will recommend two utilities. The most popular is called Camtasia. Camtasia comes with a full studio suite, but the Recorder is all you really need to record what you are doing on screen (along with audio) and save it to an AVI file. From there you can do anything you want with it. Camtasia Recorder can be purchased alone if you want. If you don\’t want to pay for anything, check out the free alternative known as CamStudio.
