How To Resize Fonts On a Per-Website Level

Web browsers have had the ability to resize both fonts and images for some time now. Whenever you want to adjust the size, you can use CTRL+Plus, CTRL-Minus, CTRL-MouseWheelUp, CTRL-MouseWheelDown and so on. Resetting the size to a standard 100% is done by CTRL+0 (zero).

The only problem with resizing is that it’s global. For some sites you’d prefer 100%, others 120%, others 200%, others 80% and so on.

The Firefox extension NoSquint does just that. It will store zoom settings specific to particular domains so that every time you go to them, they will be the same size you left it. In addition, it will also “follow” and keep the zoom settings throughout. For example, if you set pcmech.com to have a 150% zoom size, any link clicked through on the pcmech.com domain will retain that zoom setting.

Watch the video for details on how NoSquint works. For some of you this will be a must-have when using Firefox.
