How To Save Webpages For Later Reading

We’ve all been there. We’re spending a little free time online catching up on our web surfing and social media addictions. We find something really cool that we want to read or a video to watch. Only problem is that you don’t have time to consume that content right then.

You could bookmark it, sure. But, how about we make it truly portable.

Picture 3 I found a cool website called LaterLoop. What is it?

Laterloop allows you to easily save links to web pages you want to check out later. But, it is a bit more than just a remote bookmarking site. This one allows you to:

  • Read those articles on your mobile phone (and no, we’re not just talking about the Iphone here)
  • Read articles offline
  • Shuffle your links (read them in a random order)
  • Send yourself a followup email after reading
  • Easy integration

When you create a profile with LaterLoop, you can use your existing Google account profile to log in. You will then be provided a bookmarklet which you can just drag up to your browser’s bookmark toolbar. Later, you can simply click the “Save For Later” bookmark and instantly save whatever page you are viewing to your LaterLoop.

Later, when on the go, you can pull up your reading list and read the page you flagged. If you’re on an Iphone, you can easily pull up your list in Safari (since the Iphone has a real web browser). For other phones, you can pull up the mobile version of Laterloop for a mobile-ready version.

Laterloop is a very simple concept, and certainly not the only such option out there. If you already share your bookmarks across your computers using something like FoxMarks, then perhaps this isn’t even useful. But, if you want portability that allows easy reading while on the go (meaning mobile reading), a site like Laterloop can come in handy.
