Assuming your network is set up properly, it is easy to share files/folders on your network. With Windows, simply do the following:

  1. In Windows Explorer, find the folder you want to share on your network.
  2. Right-click on the folder and choose "Sharing and Security". The Folder properties will open and the "Sharing" tab will be pre-selected.
  3. Under "Network Sharing and Security", check "Share this folder on the network".
  4. If you want remote PCs to be able to save files to this folder, check "Allow network users to change my files".
  5. Hit OK.

The folder icon will change to have a little hand holding the folder. This means it is a shared folder. Now, you can browse your network from another network computer and should be able to find this folder across the network and access it.
