Picasa is a really great photo collection and editor. Combined with the Google Photos Screensaver it makes for creating a custom screensaver ultra-easy.

You can download both as a Google Pack. Go to pack.google.com if you want to try it out. Both are free (along with all the other tools in the Google Pack).
