A Jump List in Windows 7 is one of the best and most underrated features of the Windows 7 desktop experience. They’re ridiculously easy to use and all you have to do is make use of your right mouse button for app buttons in the taskbar area. Check out the video below to see how it works.

You can also use left click by trying to drag the icon upwards. I find this more convenient since the action results in the mouse being on top of the list after the action. You get the pointer closer to what you might actually want to click.
