		<description>My home-built PC has 7 fans: case (4), power supply, graphics card, and CPU. In addition, the PC kept my office toasty warm in both winter and summer!

I solved both problems (fan noise and heat) by drilling a hole in the floor behind the desk and building a shelf in the basement below my desk. The shelf is high enough so all the cables (monitor, printer, scanner and eSata DVD drive) can reach the PC case in the basement.

Now my office is quiet and cool.</description>
