Images In Windows Live Mail Signature – Revised (VIDEO)

The last time I did a video on this subject, I thought it would work for everybody who used the Windows Live Mail client, however a few said that even with the instructions they still encountered the infamous “red X” box where the signature image should go.

Well, I was having none o’ that. :)

I was bound and determined to find a way to get a locally hosted image work in a WLmail signature every time, and the video below should (hopefully) be the final word on the subject.

For those that tried it before and couldn’t get it to work quite right, follow the instructions in the video below and let me know how it turns out.

    Hey Rich,
Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video! It was exactly what I needed.

Can you tell me how to make the web addresses into a hyperlink in notepad++? Right now the html it looks like this in notepad++…

    <img src="signature.jpg"

    http://www.aHart2Teach.com
    http://www.TShirtSpecialty.com
    http://www.Secrets2MeaningfulPrayer.com

But the 3 web sites are not hyperlinks when I send out my e-mails. Everything looks good thanks to you but I would really like to make it as easy as possible for people to click on one of the web addresses within my signature and go straight to my site.
    Thanks in advance, John Hart

Well that didn’t work as planned. I tried to paste in what I had in Notepad++ so that you could see what it looked like but when I hit send it turned my web addresses into hyperlinks and hid all the other command lines except for the first one? I wish I could do that on my signature.

  4. Hi, that was interesting, but didn’t work. Image comes up as a red cross. Besides that, is there a way to add a signature with an image to only 1 email account in Windows live mail? Because I’ve got 4 different accounts and what the signature only on 1 account.
    Thanks
