Import Your Windows Install Disc To A USB Drive

Whenever you purchase a Windows disc, it always comes on a CD/DVD. The problem with optical media is it is slow and easily damaged. On the other hand flash drives are fast and durable, so if you do Windows installs often, creating an install USB drive makes sense. To accomplish this, check out WinToFlash.

WinToFlash works with Windows XP and later and easily imports your install CD/DVD to an install USB drive. Once you have this do can do a full install from the USB drive without the original disc. Considering the cost of USB drives are so cheap, the time you save easily pays for the drive.

Awsome! I can see this helping with net-books as well.

I have been trying to find the recommended size of USB drive to import the install disk onto. Does anyone know?

I backed up my Vista PC to a flash drive before I upgraded to Windows 7, but I don’t know what to do with the flash drive now. I would like to reuse it, but I’m afraid if I put it into the usb port it will take my PC back to Vista. Can anyone tell me how to delete the contents of the flash drive?
