Install Essentials with Google Pack

Posted Jan 10, 2007 by David Risley

If you are loading a new machine and get frustrated with the dozens of individual packages you have to download and install, use the Google Pack to make installing some of these essentials a one click deal.

The Google Pack allows you to select from a list of common programs which will be downloaded and installed automatically. Even better, there is an updater which checks for new releases of each program.

Some programs available via Google Pack include:
- Firefox
- Google Toolbar (IE or FF)
- AdAware
- Adobe Acrobat Reader
- Real Player
- Google Earth
- Picasa
- Much more

Simply select which programs you want, click start and each will be downloaded and installed without any necessary configuration or installer screens. It’s that simple.
