Whenever you need to install or reinstall Windows, strange issues and problems can often times be avoided by disconnecting all of your hardware peripherals before you begin the installation. After you have installed Windows and loaded all the hardware device drivers, then proceed to connect your peripherals one at a time and load their drivers.
