It fits in my laptop bag with my ThinkPad T430s, weighs around 3lbs and it connects and gets power thru a single USB cable. I got it for $89 on sale and it scans amazing high-res photos as well as b&w docs at low res. It scans a 8.5x11" doc at 200dpi in less than five seconds. And it allows you to save almost any format you can imagine, including PDF which is very handy! I actually had the LIDE 200 model for a few years before buying this one earlier this year. I tossed my laptop bag across the room without realizing it was in there and shattered the glass into a million pieces.....otherwise I would still be using it. But the newer version is a little faster and has a better inteface software.

I have a Canon CanoScan LIDE 210 that is a portable flatbed scanner and it’s the best of both worlds!
