Its kind of annoying for anything else because its slow, and because there are so many celebrity impersonators and spam whores on Twitter. I just use a cheap cell phone for all my "instant messaging." If they can't tell me in 1 call or 2 texts what is going on, I just let them go to voice mail. Ahhhhh. I have a hard enough time getting people onto Google Talk (my IM of choice). Fortunately, it works with AIM, which is where others I know IM from. I don't have a twitter acct, don't want one, and have no desire to read anyone's who does. However, every once in a while I like to have a chat session, which I have set up to log in as invisible, and it works from my Blackberry, iPhone, and PC.
