jEdit: Programmer’s Editor

Posted Jun 28, 2006 | by David Risley | No Comments

For you programmers/web page designers, be sure to check out jEdit
([http://www.jedit.org]). It offers syntax highlighting, parenthesis
matching, advanced search and replace and tons of plugins. Built on
Java, it runs on all OS’s, and best of all… it’s free.

Notepad is good, but jEdit is hands down the best freeware editor for
programmers available.
