Lian-Li is a relatively new name to the computer case market.  They were one of the first to bring  a full aluminum case to the customer.  Why aluminum you ask?  Aluminum has many qualities that a computer and a user can benefit from.

The first and foremost is heat dissipation.  Aluminum cases dissipate heat at a faster rate than your standard steel cases.  This allows a computer system\’s total temperature to be lowered by up to 5 degrees celcius.  Your cpu, video card, and hard drives can all benefit by a reduction in temperature.  More on this to come later.

Secondly, aluminum also has another quality that really attracts LAN partiers.  It is far lighter than a standard steel case. You may find that when you have to carry a computer, speakers, network equipment, and a big monitor to a LAN party, shedding a few pounds here and there is gladly worth spending a little extra money for.

Thirdly, and maybe just a minor reason for aluminum, is the look factor.  It may be just me, but I am getting tired of the same old beige cases.  I feel brushed aluminum looks great, especially in some of todays contemporary apartments.  Even if you use beige drives and accessories, it does look a lot better.
