Licensing Your Original Work

If you have just finished work on your latest creation, be it music, software, writing, graphics, etc. and want to distribute it, it’s definitely in your best interest to license it. In a nutshell a license gives the end user the terms of use they must agree to in order to use your work. I’m sure a problem 99% of us face is we have no idea how to actually create a terms of use license and we don’t want to shell out big $$$ to pay someone to write it.

Enter Creative Commons. Creative Commons is a non-profit organization which helps people find the right license to distribute their work. Their site is totally free and they have a vast selection of licenses to choose from, so you are bound to find something which will fit for you.
