In researching a number that was recently calling me, it was ID'd "Florida" with a California number and supposedly the call center is some where in the Caribbean.There are bills in both the Senate and House that would make this illegal, neither have passed into law AFAIK. In todays age of phishing, identity theft and other bogus schemes going on you simply have to be very careful on what calls you answer and if you do, be careful about what info you divulge. You can start entering the phone number, and as you type it will display the location.
