Maximizing Auto-Save in MS Office

One of the nicest features of Office is that of the “Auto-Save” function, a simple but very useful and sometimes life-saving save operation that is carried out at a regular time interval. The problem is, for it to be useful, that interval should be fairly often. By default, it is not (10 minutes). To change this, go to Tools -> Options -> Save and choose a shorter interval from the textbox “Save … every … minutes,” press OK, and enjoy the more frequent auto-saving.
