Memory Matchup

Posted Sep 15, 2001 by tiretool

These tests were conducted on an ABIT BE6 2 Rev.2 motherboard with a Pentium 3 600 (slot 1), Elsa Gladiac video card, Sound Blaster Live! sound card, and a Maxtor 40 Gig 7200 RPM UDMA 100 hard drive. I decided to use this system because it more accurately represents what the average computer user may have in their home. (Nothing against AMD, I just don\’t happen to have a T-Bird or Duron lying around.)

3DMark2001 and SiSoft Sandra\’s Memory Bench were the programs I used to test memory performance.  Simple overclocking techniques were used on both memory modules in the exact same way.
