Microsoft’s Built-in Backup Software

Posted Oct 28, 2005 by David Risley

Although there are many commercial programs avaliable in the market for backup, Microsoft includes a no-frills version with Windows. To access it, go to Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Backup. Press Next and then Next again; choose what you wish to back up; choose where you wish to save the backup file to, then run the backup. Its that easy! Remember that to restore a backup, use the same wizard, only choosing “Restore” instead of “Back up” at the second step.
