Monitor Startup Programs

Posted Feb 14, 2007 by Jason Faulkner

Whenever you install new programs, their installers seem to love putting some sort of “quick launch” or “update watch” type process into your startup programs. Even worse, malicious programs can add themselves and introduce security risks.

Of course, you can clean up the mess they make by using utilities such as msconfig, but with Startup Monitor you can be notified and prevent processes from ever being added to your startup script. You are notified of any requested change and can decide what to do before it happens.
