Mozilla Thunderbird 2.0.0.9 - Faster, Better

Posted Nov 19, 2007 by Rich Menga

I use Google Apps for my domain mail (Gmail powered), so when Google starting offering IMAP for their mail I jumped on it. My mail client o’ choice is Mozilla Thunderbird but version 2.0.0.6 seemed to have buggy IMAP issues.

Introduce 2.0.0.9 (released a few days ago). Several fixes in this version. If you use Thunderbird, get this upgrade. I noticed the IMAP connection to Gmail was a whole lot smoother in 2.0.0.9 compared to 2.0.0.6. In addition it seems to munch less memory; always a good thing.
