The ability to select multiple files at once using the Shift and/or Ctrl keys are a well know shortcut. The only problem is one mishap with your fingers can cause you to deselect all your items. To remedy this problem, Windows 7 offers you the ability to select multiple files at once with check boxes next to each file.
To enable this:
- Open the Windows Explorer options (Control Panel > Folder Options).
- Go to the View tab.
- Select the option to use check boxes for selecting files.
- Apply your changes.
Now whenever you need to pick a particular group of files, one wrong move doesn’t mean you have to start over.
