New GIMP Release… Finally

Posted Nov 9, 2007 | by Jason Faulkner

If you are a GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) user, take note that after a long absence of updates, version 2.4 was recently released.

The new GIMP release features many improvements and new features including:

  • Enhanced user interface.
  • Better print support.
  • New effects (built in red-eye removal, distortions, etc.).
  • Reorganized menus.

Personally, I have since moved on to Paint.Net for my graphic needs, however if you are a GIMP loyalist, be sure to check out the new release.

Which Of These Traits Applies To YOUR Computing Life?...

I tried my best at GIMP and gave up for Paint.net. Paint.net has an easier red eye removal tool, although not that great.
