Notable Improvements In Office 2007 SP2

Users of Microsoft Office 2007 should really take a look at some of the improvements made in SP2.

While there are lots of improvements, the most notable include:

  • Support for Open Document Format (ODF). This is OpenOffice’s native format and you can now read and write using Office.
  • Native support for exporting to PDF and XPS. Previously this required an additional component to be installed.
  • Outlook open and close operations are improved. If you use Outlook you probably know it takes a bit of time for it to both start up and shut down. SP2 should help.

Of course, there are lots of other improvements in SP2 so if you use Office 2007, go get it.
