OS X Dock is Dumbed Down on Purpose

Posted Dec 4, 2007 | by Rich Menga

It’s getting more obvious that Leopard was released too early. A video has surfaced that shows what the OS X dock should have been like but isn’t. In particular, the Stacks feature was supposed to have some way cooler (and more productive) stuff in it but was mysteriously left out at the last minute.

What’s interesting is that the capability to get to the left-out features is in fact in the release code, but no one has found a way to enable it – yet.

Get the scoop here (MacDailyNews) on what you’re missing out on. If you want to jump directly to the video, that’s here (Kuragari.com).

And by the way – if the site with the video is down, it’s getting hammered at the moment. A lot of people are interested in this.
