MacRumors is reporting the following:
Less than a week after the last release (9C16), Apple has seeded a new version of Mac OS X 10.5.2 to developers today. The latest seed (9C20) lists no known issues. They’ve also separated the graphics drivers out into a separate update called Leopard Graphics Update, which must be installed after Mac OS X 10.5.2. The latest seeds are only available to registered Apple developers.
According to other reports, 10.5.2 is supposed to be one of the larger maintenance releases they have put out in a few years. When Apple asked developers to focus their testing on certain things, they mentioned the Dock, the Finder, grammar checking, iCal, iChat, Mail, Parental Controls, Quick Look, Rosetta, Safari, Time Machine, and the 802.11 Airport. The list of bug fixes is 76 items long.
One of the annoying features of Leopard is the implementation of Stacks. The stupid curved list is, well, stupid. 10.5.2 is supposedly going to provide a list view for Stacks as well as make the Grid view a little better looking. This will be a nice addition.
The rumors of a Friday public release are not confirmed.
