Parents Affected By Children’s Posts on MySpace

Posted Nov 27, 2007 by Rich Menga

Some people are quick to believe that if something happens on the internet it stays on the internet - and will never affect you in real life.

Wrong.

A story ran on WTVM 9 reports it’s becoming more common that parents are suffering consequences of what their kids are posting on MySpace.

What kind of consequences? How about getting demoted at your job? Or fired?

It can and does happen.

This is yet another red-flag warning to parents: Watch what your kids are doing online. If they have a public MySpace page, blog or what-have-you, read it. Get involved.

If you don’t, you could suffer for it later.

Myspace needs to be SHUT DOWN for good. There are internet hookers who ask to be added as a friend and send links to naked profiles. My teenage son was getting these invites. My teenage daughter ended up engaging in a vile, profane filled spat with her cousin on Myspace. Teens are posting shocking revealing pictures on Myspace. Myspace creates a irresponsible atmosphere wher children post profanities, sexual language and sexual pictures! WE NEED TO BOYCOTT MYSPACE AND SHUT IT DOWN PEOPLE! Our children are becoming victims on this Myspace. SHUT IT DOWN!!!
