I would like a manual for Windows 7, where can I find one?
Now before any of you say, "it’s in the Help and Support section of Windows 7", this is true – but that assumes Leonard actually has Windows 7, which he may not. Some people would prefer to download a detailed manual before buying a license of Win7 or buying a new PC with that OS preinstalled.
Microsoft does offer a big 61MB 140-page full-color PDF Product Guide for Windows 7, and it’s here:

Big document, lots of info, and because it’s PDF it’s print-ready, should you care to print it out.

Downloaded the book, and for the fun of it I had mircosoft check for updates. Was using firefox, so they wanted me to download IE9, so I did. Now I have IE9 on Ubuntu. Guess I have to install Wine now to make it work.
If someone really wants a manual they could load the PDF on a flash drive, bring it down to Kinko’s and have one printed and bound.
If Microsoft were to provide a paper manual we would all end up paying for something that most people do not need.
