Play Risk In Linux

Posted Feb 8, 2008 by Jason Faulkner

One of the great all time classic board games is the timeless game of Risk. Anyone who has ever played a 4 person game of “world domination” knows both how fun and agonizingly long (especially once you are eliminated) the game can be.

If you can’t get a group together, why not play over the Internet using one of these free Linux Risk variants (only slight variants though). It’s probably no surprise the graphics aren’t anything eye-popping, but that shouldn’t matter at all. The real value is in the game play.

The author does a great job at pointing out how the 3 different programs mimic Risk. Of course, you will still need a good bit of time to get through a full game.
