Portable Sega Genesis – Yes It’s Cool And I Want One

imageNew on the scene: The Sega Mega Drive Portable. The cost is $40 and for that 40 you get a whole lot of entertainment as it comes bundled (and pre-loaded with mind you) several really good licensed games, including Sonic and Knuckles, Altered Beast, Golden Axe and more.

But they could have totally skipped Ecco the Dolphin. That game absolutely sucked. Hard.

For 40 bucks this is a steal. Did I mention it has composite connectors to hook it up to a television?

Yep. I want one.

I don’t know if there’s any way to do two-player with two of these things, but if that’s possible that would also be way-cool. If not, it’d still be a blast to have one.

Note to boss: My birthday is in March. :-)

I own many games. Lotta Genesis games, Super Nintendo, gameboy, PSX, PS2, Cube, whatever. I’m not boasting, but instead I’m pointing out that out of every single game I own, this is my all-time favorite. That’s a high reward I think. I’ll never forget the first day I got to play this game. I was 10 years old (it was a few years after the game came out), and, amazingly, I really waasn’t a gamer. I liked games, but just wasn’t addicted (yet). Well, look at me now! Owning countless titles, always reading reviews to get only the good titles, always buying new games, but…I have never found a better game than Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
