Possibly The Best "Tweet" Ever

When someone posts on Twitter, the popular microblogging service, they are said to be "tweeting".

Possibly the best tweet to date is one that came across that said,

I wasbjust in a plane crash!

Typo aside, yes, that really happened.

I mean, seriously, how can you top that.

Not possible.

The rest of the story is nothing short of pure awesome.

Internets FTW.

and this deserves a dedicated post why…?

    • http://www.menga.net Rich Menga

Did you not notice it was important enough to make the New York Times?

  • http://PCMECHFAIL BrianB

This is PC MECH FAIL, no tech work, not even a story, just a crappy link to another site.

  • Force Flow

A blog on the NYT site…not the NYT itself.

In either case, there’s nothing of value here…just a link to another site. Unless you count the comments generated here…

    • http://www.menga.net Rich Menga

You’re so right; I suck at life.

      Merry Christmas!

      • shadow

All I wanted was tech posts for christmas, not links to another whiny twitter user…

    • http://www.twitter.com/AndrewPearce Drew

So because you don’t find value in the post, that means that other readers won’t see value either? Who cares if it was the NYT blog, a CNN blog or some other damn bloggers blog?!

Feel free to burst that bubble that surrounds you so you can get a grip on the bigger picture as to *why* so many people cared to blog about it in the first place, including on the NYT blog.

      • shadowpr

Nope, there was no value to it.

Quoted from your recent tweet ( http://twitter.com/frostedside ):

“Some pcmech commenters are not exactly in the Christmas spirit. Hope Santa kicks ‘em in the balls.”

Merry Christmas right back at you rich. I’m glad you’re full of holiday cheer.

    • http://www.menga.net Rich Menga

I sure am! I mentioned Santa and everything! Ho Ho Ho!

Enjoy your kick in the jewels.

  • Force Flow

I’m ashamed to see what PCM has degraded to.

    • http://www.menga.net Rich Menga

(*sniff*).. someone give me a tissue.

  • Kov-Ice

    I agree whole-heartedly with Force’s comment.

Rich, you purport to represent PCMech each and every time you host a video, post in a blog, or comment on Twitter. Yet I feel comments such as some of yours above would be quickly warned and strongly moderated in the Forums, which is why so many people who have gravitated to this site in the past have stayed around for so long.

I, too, feel it is a shame, and I find myself visiting the site and even the forums less and less over the past several months.

  • David Risley

K, guys, that’s it. Move on.
