Prevent Autorun Attacks

I read a very interesting article today regarding an obvious attack method I had never thought of, a CD autorun script. In a nutshell, if you have the autorun feature of your CD drive turned on and you were to insert a malicious CD (however unlikely that is), it could automatically trigger installation of some bad stuff.

This great article tells you how to prevent this type of attack. Simple note though is merely disabling the autorun feature of your drive is not enough, read the entire article to make sure you are fully protected.

Again, this type of attack is improbable, however after the Sony rootkit fiasco, you never know…
