Quickly Sort Your Start Menu and Bookmarks Alphabetically

Posted Feb 22, 2006 by David Risley

Ever get annoyed that whenever you install a new program in Windows or add a new bookmark in Internet Explorer it always appears at the bottom? Instead of manually dragging them back into alphabetical order, simply right click anywhere in either the Start Menu or IE bookmark listing and select the option to Sort By Name. This will also work in your bookmark sub-category folders and Start Menu program folders. (Note: give it a shot with FireFox bookmarks too.)
