I’ve mentioned the Alpine mail client before but I’ve never shown a video on how to actually setup an email account in it – until now! For this video I’m specifically concentrating on the Gmail email service.
Although this is a retro thing, there is some modern convenience in the respect this is the least bandwidth-intensive way to use the Gmail service. When using a plain text mail client for email duties, it doesn’t get any more low-bandwidth than that. For those of you watching every byte you upload and download where anything not used helps, using Alpine with your Gmail might be just what you were looking for.
