Script To Automate Opening Multiple IE Tabs

I read a very interesting post on an MSDE blog regarding a script to automate opening multiple Internet Explorer tabs. You do not have to understand the script at all to use it, just copy and paste the text on his site into a notepad file and save it as “scriptname.js“. Of course, you will want to replace the URLs with your own. You can then create a scheduled task to run the command:

wscript scriptname.js

I have started using this to automatically open the comic strips I like to read in the morning so they are waiting for me when I arrive in the office. I’m sure there are more practical uses, but this one works for me.
