Setting Up Automated System Maintenance In Glary Utilities

The PCMech Weekend Giveaway of Glary Utilities Pro continues with 500 more licenses available today (first come, first serve). The licenses were gone after about 4 hours yesterday morning, so hurry.

One feature Glary Utilities offers is “1-Click Maintenance” which performs your selection of the following tasks with with a click of a button:

  • Registry Cleaner (non-aggressive)
  • Shortcut Fixer (removes dead links)
  • Startup Manager (looks for suspicious entries)
  • Temp Files Cleaner (clears your user temp files, recycle bin, etc.)
  • Tracks Eraser (browser history cleaner)
  • Spyware Remover

Again, you can pick and choose which you want to run. Of course, this can be run on demand but you can also schedule this process to be run as an automated task.

  1. Go to Menu > Settings
  2. Click the Auto Care tab
  3. Check the box for “Execute 1-Click Maintenance at a scheduled time.”
  4. Configure the schedule accordingly.

By setting this, you can have the process run without you having to do anything which makes this a “set it and forget it” task.
