Simulating IE With Firefox

Posted Apr 15, 2007 by Jason Faulkner

If you are a user of Firefox, you are probably aware that certain sites simply will not work inside of it. The most notable being Windows Update, as you need to visit this site from IE. Simply install the Firefox extension, IE Tab, and you can now access these sites from within Firefox.

By clicking the [newly added] link in your toolbar to open in IE Tab, the currently loaded page will display using the IE engine as opposed to Firefox’s. Additionally, you can configure pages, such as Windows Update, to automatically load using IE Tab so you do not have to switch them manually every time.

If you are a Windows Firefox user, this is a must have extension.
