1. Can one use vLite to do the slipsteaming?
2. Can one use the original CD and sp1 without any of the previous updates?
3. If not is there a update pack available (as per the xAble stuff for XP)?ANY help would be appreciated

Whew so much info to read about this subject, so far from what I can gather, vLite cannot slipstream Vista with SP1.

Apart from John Kirkhakm post above anybody else tried to do this with any success?

My original Vista install was almost unusable to start with, so many crashes it was a nightmare, now SP1 is out I would actually like to do a clean install.

Hence I would like to use my original CD and slipstream the service pack.

Things that are NOT clear to me are:<br

Also use to use 98lite/xplite, for instance.Make sure that, if you do use vlite on Vista that it's done 'after' you slipstream sp1. Anything done with vlite on vista pre sp1 will negate any chance of installing sp1. Even MS have officially acknowledged this.

Have had much experience with nlite, now vlite.
