GMail has a work-round, as it allows one to use mail addresses of the form:

username+textstring AT etc.

If the id starts to get spam, you can then add a filter to trap it.

[Not all sites allow "+" in e-mail names, even though it is permitted]

Mailwasherpro is a great tool for those people that still want to use outlook or other email options and catch spam before it actually reaches their computer. Clean it before it gets there. Spam Assassin on a server requires your hosting company keep up to date with all the patches, etc for it. Most don't which is pretty sad. Mailwasherpro learns quickly what's good and what's not and you can delete it before it ever reaches your computer. Available from my website, scroll down to the bottom of the home page and click the banner.
