Today a somewhat big Windows XP update was deployed which included four Outlook Express updates, four IE7 updates and four “Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool” (say that fives times fast) updates.

If you notice the update is taking some time to download, bear in mind the Microsoft servers are getting hammered at the time of this writing. That all-too-familiar yellow shield taskbar icon may be there a while before all the updates are downloaded.
