SSD on MacBook Air Expensive?

Some may have seen how the Macbook Air changes from an $1800 laptop to a $3000 laptop when you opt for the 64GB solid state drive. This is not Apple price gouging but rather a technology that is still so new it commands a hefty price tag. SSD is definitely the wave of the future, no question. But at the moment it’s still too expensive for most people. See video below for details.

They actually ARE price gouging. Adding a 64 gig SSD to a Dell XPS costs 900 bucks, not 1200. The situation is repeatable elsewhere, too. The tech is quite expensive, and if you want it that bad, you’ll probably pay 1200 anyways…but thats a 300 dollar difference.
