The State Of Technology [PCMech Workshop]

This is a full recording of PCMech’s first ever LIVE, INTERACTIVE workshop. This is the first of many such workshops we will be holding inside of our PCMech Premium program.

All of our workshops will be either instructional, interviews, or open Q&A where you can talk to us and we’ll discuss your matters of interest and answer your questions. To learn more about how you can give us a try for only $1 for 30 days, click here.

This recording is 1 hour, 11 minutes long. The original workshop was held LIVE on August 26, 2010. In this workshop, I give my opinions on where the world of technology is heading. In it, I talk about:

  • The age of the desktop computer is coming to an end.
  • Mobile devices are taking over.
  • Why the Ipad is the beginning of a whole new movement.
  • How we’re moving away from local software and increasingly to the Internet.
  • Some of the barriers that will stand in the road.

Enjoy this presentation as I look into my crystal ball, and I hope to see you on our next one. :)

  1. Sounds like you’re looking at the same “Crystal Ball” that Steve Jobs is…

(read: “OUR products are the future. Except, buy them now!”).

  2. Dunno. But, Apple is the trendsetter these days. When it comes to hardware anyway.

  3. Esserius /

Hate to say it, but Apple is only really a trendsetter in the US (and not a good one, from what I’ve seen – they blatantly discourage debate about their policies). They have virtually no market penetration in countries outside the United States, both due to legal reasons and popular consumer interest.
