Support Free Websites By Clicking On Ads

About the Author

Jason Faulkner is the man who brings you our daily tips. He is based in Atlanta, Georgia.

I know a tip similar to this ran a long time ago, but I believe it is worth mentioning again. Nothing is free in this world, and this includes web hosting. The fact is hosting costs money and bandwidth costs money.

The reason I bring this up is because the vast majority of websites which make their content available for free pay their bills through advertising revenue.  While it is an annoyance to readers, it is a necessity for people running these sites. So if you like the site you just visited, give something back to them by clicking on an ad when you are leaving their site. It doesn’t cost you a thing and goes a long way to making sure the sites you like continue to be freely available.

Keep in mind, I’m not suggesting you click on every popup ad you encounter and make sure you never click on links in emails, just simply use your head. Odds are you probably don’t do work for free, so why should websites?

Just something to think about.

This is so true I built http://www.mp4direct.org to direct people to the right places to get the best deals on popular mp3 and mp4 players and this is at no cost to the user. I need users to click my adds and links to keep my website up and running to help people get the best deal. I made this site because I was ripped off on eBay on an mp4 player and hated the thought of other people have this type of problem. The links at my website are 100% tested and ensure you will get your orders.
