A Powerful (And Free) Wave Editor

Not too long ago I wrote about a fantastic wave editing program, Goldwave. While this is a great choice, if completely free is the route you prefer to go then check out Wavosaur.

Wavosaur is a small self contained application (doesn’t require any installation) which boasts some impressive features including VST plugins. Outside of music editing, “podcasts” seem to be one of the more practical applications for a wave editing program and this one looks like it can certainly fit the bill… for the attractive price of free.

Although I do not really see a need for a self-contained wave editing program as I can’t imagine people carrying around their sound files on the go, it is nice to know the program is lightweight and probably does not have many (if any) bloat issues.

PCMech Highly Recommends...

This is the "kitchen sink" e-book for computer maintenance and repair. A jam-packed 346 pages. As Monte Russel (the author) says in his e-book, "Computers have always been complex, but if a guy that grew up out in the boonies in Wyoming can fix 'em, you can also!" Monte is a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Afterwards, he served a long career as a computer repair tech and network administrator. LEARN MORE
